November 20th Meeting Notes

Thanks to Stephanie O’Shaugnessey, the PCNRC intern, for compiling the notes. You will see much more detail here about the meeting:

  • We toured the beautiful Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana building and ate many cookies
  • We talked a lot about the future of NeXtgen and where we want it to go in the future.  The main topics discussed were a schedule for next year and possible changes to the structure of the group.
  • Lettie showed a clip from Sierra Bravo’s Overnight Website Challenge (www.f1webchallenge.com) which garnered much excitement all around and a proposal to something similar here. Hilary A., Brent W., Andy H., and Leslie A. were all willing to help out (particularly the during the 24 hours).
  • Brent W. talked about the Allen County Summit of Youth

NeXt Meeting: Thursday, November 20th

For our November meeting, we are heading to the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana offices to the north of the county. Thanks to Rachael Caslow, Volunteer Development and Leslie Augustyniak for the offer to host and allow us to tour their amazing new facilities! Rachael has reserved one of the Girl Scouts’ special new training facilities for our gathering~

REGISTER HERE to attend on Thursday, November 21 from 12:30-2 at the Girls Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana (see map here)

We expect this to be our final meeting of the calendar year, and as such, will do some housekeeping, planning and administrative things. We also expect your input to continue to guide the group in the direction you see needed, so please come prepared to talk about vision and implementing plans. Please bring your thoughts and be prepared to discuss the group’s future.

Please note: Due to scheduling conflicts, this meeting will take place on the third Thursday of November. If you cannot attend, but have input about the group’s direction, you can leave comments here, start a discussion in our google group, or call another member at their agency to have them speak on your behalf.  Should you forget a name or organization, feel free to contact Lettie Haver at 421-1238.
