ThinkTank Mode launches: Help Brainstorm the Rape Awareness Program
Rya Morgan, Rape Awareness Program Director for the FWWB will lead our January 16th meeting in ThinkTank Mode. We’ll get an overview of her existing program and then we’ll brainstorm ways to implement community mobilization.
What does that mean?
You’ll have the chance to get out of your silo. Maybe you need a break from what you’ve been concentrating on. Maybe, like statistics suggest, you are infinitely curious about your world, want to see how your acquired knowledge fits, how your missions overlap and how you can help.
Over lunch hour. *REGISTER HERE*
But wait. Rya’s the expert. What could the rest of us have to contribute?
Aha. That’s the thing. We’re new eyes, relatively unfamiliar. Rya values the diversity in thought we represent. And she’s just cool enough to let us try.
Read the attached PDF to be familiar with best practices in the field. Pay attention to the Community Mobilization areas: lee-2007-sexual-violence-prevention-1
You don’t have to read to be able to help, but we thought the PDF just might pique your interest.
So, here’s your chance to think global and act local.
